Posting #4 : WISE

Truth be told, I was quite envious as I read through the report on WISE (Web-based Inquiry Science Environment) project drafted by Dr James Slotta, who I look forward to meeting in class tommorow. It makes me cringe on why I was not a few years younger...living somewhere up in the Bay area, being taught my 7th grade science class by Ms Sandra or Ms Gilbert and being part of the Cycles of Malaria Project. The enviorment these students are being exposed to are can be compared to some of the state of the art MBA Universities in North America. Its true I may have just blundered by comparing apples to oranges (which is true if you notice how much some of these MBA executives have to splurge). But part of the cost goes into nonconventional, simulation types of teaching methodlolgies. In the instance of WISE they classes are all Science subject related and have little to nothing to do with Business studies as what is primarily taught in MBA programs.
